The winery has existed since 1782 and is now managed by the Serin family. It takes its name from the small stream "La Dourbie", which flows through the middle of the winery and flows into the nearby river Hérault. On barren, stony, calcareous soils, typical Languedoc grape varieties are cultivated under strictly organic principles. The grapes are harvested by hand and subject to a strict yield limitation of just 15-25hl/ha, which is well below the AOP Languedoc average.
