The Chinquapin One from the folks at Meikle Toir, aged in superior Chinquapin virgin oak barrels from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri,USA. With mainland peat from from St Fergus this provides a sweeter style than that associated with coastal peats.
Bottled at 48% abv, 35 PPM non-chill filtered and natural colour for that heightened drinking experience.
NOSE: Aromas of smouldering oak embers, burnt liquorice and honeycomb, with wild heather, ginger, butterscotch and orange peel.
TASTE: Dark chocolate, crème brûlée and toasted almonds, leading to cinnamon, brittle toffee, aniseed and lingering campfire smoke.
