A beautiful light, smokey Islay single malt whisky from Caol Ila Distillery, that has been finished in a Palo Cortado sherry cask. The combination of bitter orange, fermented butter, vanilla and light spice with that recognisable peat smoke is too hard to resist. Released at cask strength and aged for 11 years. Non-chill filtered and entirely natural in colour. Only 201 bottles were taken from this outstanding cask.
You don’t often see a Caol Ila finished in Palo Cortado and we waited until we felt the time was right. Gentle spices and sweet smoke, sea salt and that familiar iodine.
Malt, oak, butterscotch and dried fruit with a fantastic oily mouth feel with that classic Islay peat smoke.
Peppery peat, long finish, cream and smoke with a wild island finish.
