The Goldfinch – Wine Series. The fifth release in this set of 5 single casks, containing sherry matured 14 year old Blair Athol single malt whisky, that has been finished for over 18 months in a First Fill German Barrique previously holding a blend of Bacchus and Scheurebe wines delivering a sweet citrus and apple tart notes rounded with warm vanilla.
Only 318 bottles were taken from this outstanding cask. Released at cask strength, non-chill filtered and entirely natural in colour.

Nose
White fruit, caramel with a hint of vanilla
Palate
Apples, grass with a rounded vanilla custard with a gentle oak and hints of tabacco
Finish
A long oily finish with toffee, tabacco and white fruit
